Known as the Gold Rooms, these additional two special collections within the Hermitage are open only by guided tour, for which you should book ahead to reserve it.

 

The focus is the hoard of fabulous Scythian and Greek gold and silver from the Caucasus, Crimea and Ukraine, dating from the 7th to 2nd cc BC.

But you will also see fabulous jewelry from Western Europe, and pieces from as far apart as China, India and Iran
