Rovinj is a popular tourist resort and an active fishing port of Croatia, located
on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, on the Croatian Adriatic, with a population of  about 14,200 inhabitants.

The town is officially bilingual, Italian and Croatian.

Rovinj is a charmingly picturesque town with narrow, postcard-pretty cobbled streets, striking many visitors as being very Italianate in nature.

It is famous for the St. Euphemia Cathedral (1736), the highest church tower in Istria at 61 metres high. Visiting the Church is an absolute must.

Built by Venetian architect Giovanni Dizzi, the bell tower on the church is a copy of the one at St Mark’s Basilica in Venice.

There are spectacular views over the rooftops of Rovinj and to the nearby islands from the top of the bell tower.

Get lost in the Old Town with the colorful, medieval streets bursting with Venetian houses, squeezed one to another and right by the water's edge.

Explore the large number of excellent art galleries that are situated along the steep and narrow pedestrian streets and visit the vibrant harbor with a large collection of small pleasure and fishing boats.

The beauty of Rovinj is inspiring and and full of romance and intrigue
