Day-by-Day Program: 

DAY 1          Arrive in Belgrade     Thursday
Welcome to Belgrade, the capital and the largest city of Serbia. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the evening join Welcome Cocktail to meet other group participants


DAY 2         In Belgrade     Friday 
Belgrade, with a history of over 7,000 years, is a fascinating city to visit. Your sightseeing tour will introduce you to its beautiful views and landmarks including Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox church in the city, Tito's Memorial and the Beogradska Tvrđava, an imposing fortress at the confluence of the Danube and the Sava rivers. It is city's most significant landmark that was strategically important to the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, Serbian and Austrian empires. Today the fortress is the site of several museums and Kalemegdan, a vast park.

Afternoon is free. Tonight enjoy dinner with live music in the old Bohemian quarter of Skadarlija (B,D)


DAY 3          To Dubrovnik via Montenegro     Saturda

Take a short flight to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. Continue by motor coach to Cetinje, country's historical capital, set at the foot of Mount Lovcen. Visit the Cetinje Museum with displays dedicated to Montenegro's history. Then take a spectacularly steep road down to the Bay of Kotor, the deepest fjord in Southern Europe. Finally cross into Croatia and on to Dubrovnik (B,D)


DAY 4          In Dubrovnik     Sunda

Start off the day with a walking tour of Old Dubrovnik. Visit Rector's Palace and see the Bell Tower Clock, Orlando's column and Sponza Palace. Next see the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. Balance of the day is free for independent activities, enjoy the picturesque setting, shop or simply relax (B) 

DAY 5          To Split     Monda

Travel north along the spectacular Adriatic coast, past old villages and new resorts, to Split

Enjoy a city tour featuring the historic inner city built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Also see the remnants of Split's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter's Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral (B,D) 


DAY 6          To Trogir and Plitvice Lakes     Tuesda

 Today we head to Trogir, the center of artistic activities. Scholars from around the world gather here to study and paint. Then turn inland and travel to a spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park. Have your camera ready as you take a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. Enjoy a breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation (B,D)  


DAY 7          To Opatija, Postojna and Bled     Wednesday 

Return to the coast and travel along the beautiful Bay of Kvarner to a popular resort of Opatija. After some free time here, head north to Postojna, home to one of the largest caves in Europe. Tour this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Continue to Bled, beautifully set in the Julian Alps (B,D) 


DAY 8             In Bled     Thursda

 A sightseeing tour of Bled features the charming town and the lake shore, and visits imposing Bled Castle perched on a cliff high above the lake.

The balance of the day is at leisure to explore on your own, stroll along the lake, shop, sit back in a cafe and nibble on Bled cream cake, or perhaps join an optional excursion visiting the small island in the middle of the lake (B)

           To Ljubljana and Zagreb     Friday 

Travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and take a walking tour. See the sights of the old city center, including the picturesque open-air Central Market, Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall, and Robba's Fountain. Continue on to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia (B,D) 


DAY 10          In Zagreb     Saturday 

 This morning enjoy a city tour featuring the historic Upper Town, St Mark's Church, St. Catherine's Church, the Cathedral, Parliament, and the Government Palace. Balance of the day is free to explore the winding streets of the Old Town, relax in a cafe or take an optional tour to see the countryside (B)


DAY 11       Depart Zagreb     Sunday 

After breakfast your tour ends. Transfer to airport is included (B)
