The tour visits the glorious Krakow, known as the Capital of Art & culture; travels through undiscovered Silesian region with Wroclaw, the Cultural Capital of Europe 2016.

The highlight of the tour is the Golden city of Prague where you will be charmed by the beauty of its architecture and the diversity of its European heritage

 

 

DAY 1 Tuesday        KRAKOW                                        (Dinner)

Start with buffet dinner at your hotel and meeting with your guide


DAY 2 Wednesday    KRAKOW – AUSCHWITZ – KRAKOW     (Breakfast, Lunch)

Your morning sightseeing tour will feature Wawel, the Royal Castle, home to three dynasties of Poland’s monarchs. Its stately halls and exquisite chambers are filled with priceless art, valuable period furniture and rare ancient objects.

The collection of monumental 16th century tapestries is matchless. You will also visit the Wawel Cathedral, the place of the cult of St. Stanislaw and St. Jadwiga, Queen of Poland. Its 18 chapels are true architectural masterpieces. The giant bell, Zygmunt from 1520 ranks with the world’s largest. This is the place where Polish kings were crowned and buried. Walk to Old Town with its restored Main Square of magnificent houses and palaces. There, you stop at St. Mary’s Basilica where to see the magnificent wooden altar by Wit Stwosz. In the middle of the square is Cloth Hall built before 1349, but renovated in the 16th century with many shopping stalls inside. After lunch we drive to Auschwitz-Birkenau to visit the Martyrdom Museum of the former Nazi concentration camp, the infamous factory of death
 

DAY 3 Thursday       KRAKOW – WIELICZKA – KRAKOW      (Breakfast, Dinner)

In the morning time on your own.

Coffee and cake at the famous Krakow caféteria and afternoon drive to the Wieliczka Salt Mine*, an unforgettable tourist attraction with underground chambers, grottoes, and chapels carved from salt. Dinner with a folkloric show will be served at a local restaurant in Wieliczka, before we drive back to Krakow.

DAY 4 Friday           KRAKOW – WROCLAW                     (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast drive to Wroclaw to admire its beautiful historical buildings recognized as a gem of urban Gothic-Renaissance urban architecture in Poland.

After lunch tour of Wroclaw and its fascinating history that reflects also the past of the entire Central Europe and it does its best to benefit from this historical multiculturalism of the city like, for example, having the District of Tolerance, a small area shared by the houses of worship of four different religious denominations: an Orthodox church, a Roman Catholic Church, a Lutheran church and a synagogue


DAY 5 Saturday      WROCLAW - PRAGUE                       (Breakfast, Lunch)

Your journey winds its way through picturesque landscape to reach Prague, the equally ancient capital of today's Czech Republic. Go on a walking tour of Old Town, linked to the castle district by the ornate Charles Bridge; take in the astronomical clock and Jan Palach Square and enjoy your lunch in one of the local taverns

 

DAY 6 Sunday        PRAGUE                                        (Breakfast, Dinner)

Explore Prague's Hradcany (castle) district on a city tour; explore the remarkable complex of Prague Castle, one of the largest castles in the world. Built in the 9th century, it is the country's traditional seat of power, and incorporates palaces, museums, monasteries, and halls for knighthood ceremonies. Visit the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the coronation site for Czech kings and queens.

Explore the Jewish Quarter (Josefov), including the Old-New Synagogue, founded in the 13th century, and the Pinkus and Maisel synagogues (holidays permitting).

Dinner will be served aboard the cruise ship with a beautiful panorama of Prague
 

DAY 7 Monday       PRAGUE – KATOWICE                      (Breakfast, Dinner)

Morning drive back to Poland Drive to Nikiszowiec and Giszowiec, two workers’ both built at the beginning of the 20th century, for workers of the nearby mines. It is an outstanding example of architectural revitalization. Nikiszowiec is all made of the red brick and full of tenant houses while Giszowiec was created as a garden city with small, different houses, each designed for two families.

DAY 8 Tuesday         KATOWICE - KRAKOW                 (Breakfast, Dinner)

Visit the Silesian Museum with one of the splendid exhibitions of paintings by such great Polish artists, as: Jan Matejko, Stanislaw Wyspianski or Jacek Malczewski.
The additional attractions of the viewing platform located on the top of the mineshaft. Silesian Museum is part of so-called Culture Zone, spreading in the center of Katowice and being a perfect example of the revitalization of the urban grounds. Continue your drive to Krakow for a farewell dinner

DAY 9 Wednesday      KRAKOW                                  (Breakfast)
