Day-By-Day Program: 


Day 1. Welcome to Vladivostok
In the morning you arrive in Vladivostok. In the afternoon a guided tour of the city will include the Submarine Museum. You will also enjoy a  fantastic view over the city from the “Adlernest” hill. Overnight at Versailles Best Eastern Hotel (or similar). Meals: lunch (L) and dinner (D)


Day 2. Vladivostok

In the morning you’ll visit the state-of-the-arts Oceanarium. You will go on a boat tour around Russia’s largest Pacific port. In the evening get on  a scheduled train, a 2-berth compartment, and you will be welcomed in your compartment with a cup of tea. Overnight on board train. B,L,D


Day 3. Khabarovsk

Arrive in Khabarovsk, the capital of the Russian Far East, barely twenty kilometers from China. Your City tour introduces you to this peaceful city on the Amur river, visit the Regional museum and the bluff over the Amur with its wide sandy beaches. Day 4. Hiking through Taiga

After breakfast travel to the natural reserve outside of Khabarovsk for a hiking tour through taiga along the shores of the Amur river. Overnight at the Parus Best Eastern Hotel (or similar) B,L,D 


Day 5 and Day 6. In Transit

Time to unwind and reflect on the many sights and sounds we have experienced on our journey so far. Chat to your fellow passengers, perhaps learn a few words of Russian or simply enjoy the ever changing landscape outside your window as it unfolds. B,L,D


Day 7. Ulan Ude

This morning arrive in Ulan Ude, capital of the Buryat Republic. The ethnic and cultural diversity of this area offers a unique insight into its heritage. As we tour the area you will notice the different faces and dress styles of these welcoming people. Today also visit the village of Old Believers who broke off from the Russian Orthodox Church centuries ago and favored their own rules and traditions. Overnight at the Geser Hotel. B,L,D


Day 8. In Ulan Ude. PM: board Czar's Gold private train

Start your day with a trip to Ivolginsk Buddhist Datsan, the largest and the most important Buddhist monastery in Russia. In the evening you will be boarding your Czar's Gold private train that will now take you as far as Moscow, with stops as planned. Overnight on board train. B,L,D  

Day 9. Lake Baikal

Few natural sights can surpass the beauty and grandeur of Lake Baikal and is a major highlight on our Trans-Siberian journey. For five hours we wind our way through tunnels along cliff hugging tracks above the lake with a vista of snow capped peaks along the far shore forming a picture-perfect backdrop. 

Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world and holds 20% of the world’s freshwater.  Also known as the ‘Pearl of Siberia’ it is home to a unique breed of freshwater seal and over fifty species of fish including omul which we will be serving in the dining car for some of our meals. Weather permitting, we stop in an extremely picturesque location by the lake for photographic opportunities and for the brave hearted, there is even time for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters. Day 10. Irkutsk

In the morning your train pulls over in Irkutsk , a major city in the middle of Siberia, the closest to the legendary Lake Baikal. Your City Highlights tour takes in the most significant sites of Irkutsk. One of them being the classic wooden architecture with its intricately carved lace-like decorations that has given many of this region’s buildings such a distinctive and unique appearance. In the afternoon travel outside of Irkutsk to Taltsy village to visit an open-air museum of wooden architecture. Overnight at Irkutsk Hotel (or similar) B,L,D 


Day 11. Trans-Siberia

Today relax on board as the train travels through diverse landscapes of eastern Siberia. Enjoy the ever-changing panoramas of natural beauty, as your train speeds through huge spans of land, taiga forest, mighty rivers, into the heart of Siberia. Day 12. Novosibirsk

In the afternoon, as you arrive in Novosibirsk, you are greeted with Bread and Salt. This is a genuinely Russian tradition.

Your City tour will introduce you to Novosibirsk, the largest city in Siberia. You might be amazed at how much of arts, science and literature is present in this modern 'Soviet' city. One of city's highlights in its Opera House. An architectural marvel, it houses two permanent ballet and opera companies, and it is the largest opera house in the world. In front of the Opera House, visit an imposing statue of Lenin – a marvelous opportunity to have your photograph taken with this iconic political leader. Day 13. Yekaterinburg

Today your City Highlights tour will introduce you to the most noteworthy landmarks of Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural Mountains, Russia's fourth largest city. And, geographically, known as the Great Divide as it marks the border between Europe and Asia. You will drive to the obelisk marking this geographical border where you will stand with one foot in Europe and the other in Asia. Overnight on board train. B,L,D


Day 14. Kazan 

We arrive at the picturesque and historic city of Kazan by mid-morning. Situated on the River Volga, Kazan is the capital of Tatarstan. Here you will have an opportunity to see for yourselves its rich tapestry of history and culture. Among the highlights of your City tour is the Kremlin Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city definitely stands out as being so vividly multicultural, where Russians, Tatars, Cossacks and many others live in peace and harmony, against the background of multi-colored orthodox churches, colorful minarets and mosques standing all together as one strong symbol of unity within the ancient walls of the Kremlin citadel. Day 15. Moscow

At noon your train pulls over at the train station in Moscow. Transfer to your hotel and check-in for an overnight. (Intercontinental Tverskaya (or similar). After dinner we invite you for an-hour long tour Moscow By Night. The city really looks magnificent with all the lights on. You must see the Red Square and its mesmerizing St Basil's Cathedral all lit up. You will also be taken for a ride inside the Moscow metro, the marvel of the urban world. Day 16. Moscow, See You Again

Today is the day when your epic journey ends. In conclusion, take in the City tour of Moscow. Step on the Red Square, an iconic symbol of Russia’s turbulent history. Here you will see an eclectic mix of fascinating architecture, such as the ornate St Basil’s Cathedral with its magnificent onion-domed spires, the grandeur of The Kremlin and the sombre and evocative site of Lenin’s tomb.

Enjoy a panoramic view of the Kremlin cathedrals from Moskva river embankment, view the impressive Cathedral of Christ the Savior, drive along the fashionable Tverskaya Street, the major thoroughfare of Moscow. And travel to Sparrow Hills (formerly Lenin Hills) for a breathtaking panorama of the city with Moskva River curve, New Maiden's Convent and Luzhniki Olympic complex, just in front of you.
