A 14-day Escorted tour starts in Croatia's capital Zagreb and travels by a motorcoach to the landmark city of Bled in Slovenia, then on to Plitvice National Park in Croatia, and then down south to the Dalmatian coast of Croatia's Adriatic sea, visiting its second largest city of Split, then to the darling city of Dubrovnik, cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina to reach its capital of Sarajevo and finally on to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia  

 Day-By-Day Program: 



Day 1, Saturday     Arrive in Zagreb, capital of Croatia
Upon arrival at Zagreb airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and get settled. In the evening meet your fellow travellers for a welcome drink at your hotel (WD)

Day 2, Sunday     In Zagreb
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Croatian capital featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark's Church, St. Catherine's Church and the Cathedral, Parliament and Government Palace.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the Old Town or take an optional tour to see the countryside (B)

Day 3 Monday     To Ljubljana and Bled, Slovenia
After breakfast head towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. See the most noteworthy site of the old city center on a walking tour. Highlights include the picturesque Open-air Central Market, the Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall and Roba's Fountain. Then continue on to Bled (B)

Day 4 Tuesday     Bled
An Alpine Lake surrounded by high peaks, Bled was 'discovered' by travelers in the middle of the 19th century. Since then, a small town of hotels, villas and restaurants have developed around the lake, turning Bled into a lively, all-seasons resort. A sightseeing tour features the charming town and the lakeshore, and visits the imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. The balance of the day at leisure. Perhaps join an optional excursion visiting the small island in the middle of the lake, browse through the shops and boutiques, or just relax and enjoy the enchanting scenery (B)  


Day 5 Wednesday     to Postojna, Opatja and Plitvice Lake
The journey continues to Postojna, home to one of the largest caves in Europe. Tour this fantastic subterranean world by a miniature e;ectric train. Afterwards, continue on to the coast, have a stop in Opatja. Enjoy a walking tour of this fashionable resort in the 19th century, dotted with Habsburg era villas. After some free time, continue on to Plitvice Lakes (B,D)

Day 6 Thursday     to Split
After breakfast, have your camera ready as you take a walking tour around the Lower lakes. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of sixteen terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. After the tour, head to Split. Overnight in Split (B,D)

Day 7 Friday      Split
After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour featuring the historic inner city built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Then see the remnants of Split's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter's Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. The balance of the day is at leisure to stroll through the beautiful streets of Split, or enjoy the beach (B,D)

Day 8 Saturday     to Dubrovnik
After breakfast, travel to Dubrovnik. Day at leisure (B.D)

Day 9 Sunday     in Dubrovnik
After breakfast, a walking tour of Old Dubrovnik, view the Rector's Palace, the Bell Tower Clock, Orlando's Column, Sponza Palace, the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its ancient Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. The rest of the day is free for independent activities or join us for an optional Dinner excursion (B)

Day 10 Monday      to Mostar and Sarajevo
A scenic road will bring you to the Adriatic coast, with a stop for a private walking tour of Mostar, see the city highlights, such as the famous Old Bridge built by the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century, pass by the old bazaar and view the Mosque and a typical Turkish house. Contirue to the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo (B)

Day 11 Tuesday     Sarajevo
Today learn about Sarajevo's unique history and empire on a private tour. See all the city highlights; stroll through the scenic Ottoman-era Bascarsija Square and the Husref Bay's Mosque. Admire the Austro-Hungarian architecture that splashes the city. See and learn more about the famous Latin Bridge and the beginning of World War I. Afternoon is free for independent activities (B) 

Day 12 Wednesday     to Belgrade 
Today we travel to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Dinner and overnight (B,D)

Day 13 Thursday     In Belgrade
Your morning sightseeing tour includes a visit to the imposing Kalemegdan Fortress, dramatically set at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. You will also see the Republic Square and Knez Mihailova Street, Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox Church in the city, and J.Tito's Memorial. The balance of the day is at leisure (B)

Day 14 Friday      Depart Belgrade, See You Again 
After breakfast your tour ends. Transfer to the airport is included (B)
